Way to go dumbass, he was 75 when he died not 79. CG you are right, the daughter is 9, not sure how old the wife is. This could turn out either very well, or very badly for the palastinian people.
My thoughts and blessings go to the people of Palastine, that they may be free from violence and chaos for as long as possible... which, knowing the Middle East, might not be that long. I never knew much about Arafat or how he ran his people, but I still say may he rest in peace.

The streets of Palestine around Ramallah are in chaos with 1,000's of people rioting and mourning their "hero" a man who has just as much if not more blood on his hands than Ariel Sharon!
His successor Abass is a reformer and someone who is able to see both sides of the argument which is a damned sight more than Arafat was ever willing do.

You have no idea its only a matter of time until the suicide attacks begin with renewd violence on both sides there is little hope for true lasting peace in the middle east,with both sides consumed by hatred and bigotry.
As for Arafat's wife she is bottle blonde with a weakness for his money,at 1 time the Palestinian people starved while the money poured in and he became sickeningly wealthy.

Just NOW c-span on TV here Mich/USA ... No verbal news reports... constant gun fireing...crowds lined people so close no one can hardly move and yet so through the crowd the coffin moves on a vehicle. Folks jump on it/coffin, like holding it and was Flag draped and flad current off a wooden appearing coffin/casket/closed and photos of ARAFAT on sticks through the crowds as coffin moves.. Waving and chant like hollaring going on ... constant fire of guns.... and like beep beep beep of horns on vehicles and sirens...
